Opera Theater of Lakeland Open Dress Rehearsal
for High School and College Students

For each opera production, Opera Theater of Lakeland will invite high school and university
students to attend the final orchestra dress rehearsal.  This is a special rehearsal where
students can experience the inner workings of an operatic production, especially the organized
chaos of a dress rehearsal.

Who: Anyone wanting to spend an informal, fun-filled evening with a group of opera lovers
interested in learning about the up-coming opera
What: A informative, entertaining evening with singers and the production team.
When: Saturday before each opening night at 7:30 PM.

Opera: From Stage to Classroom

This fun and informative program provides a brief operatic introduction to elementary school
students.  
The program is designed for 25 to 30 students and lasts 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the
school's class schedule. A male and female singer perform, speak with students about the
career of a professional performer, and conduct a lively question/answer session through activity
sheets. No teacher training is required. Scheduling requires two programs back to back for
$500, and $250 for any additional program in which short breaks are provided for the singers.

Opera Theater of Lakeland offers a program which can be performed at your school:

The 45-minute workshop "Introduction to Opera," which features singers telling about opera
genre and singing two or three pieces from various operas, showcasing different languages and
styles.
